I left for Maine Thursday afternoon and arrived that night. I was so tired! Not to mention that I was still sore from my epic workouts the day before (hiking and ice skating). So that night I just watched some American Idol, Big Bang Theory and read a few chapters of my book before going to bed.
I wanted to wake up early the next morning (Friday) to do a workout but I felt that it was best to rest up so I wasn't tired for my interview. I had the interview from 12-4pm (it consisted of an interview, tours and talking to grad students). I then had to drive back home which was another 4 1/2 hours! I didn't get back to my room till 9pm!
That Saturday and Sunday were also epic fails. I worked all day Saturday and Sunday was the Super Bowl. By the way, GO GIANTS!
I finally got back into my routine and I went for a run on the treadmill. I did a 1 1/2 mile straight through! It was a little bit tougher than the 1 mile but it wasn't too bad. I want to stay at the 5mph pace since I am most comfortable with that speed. I am able to control my breathing and I am also able to talk at that speed as well. (The 1.75 mile included the 1 1/2 mile run and a .25 mile cool down walk)
Tomorrow, I will not be going to the gym. I will use it as a cross-training day. I have my fencing PE class in the afternoon as well as ice skating at night. I will be running on the treadmill again on Wednesday.
