MEETING THE NEW YORK GIANTS!! and other stuff too =)

Yesterday was incredible! I have so much to tell so I will try to condense it as much as possible. But I will start at where I left off, which was Wednesday.

On Wednesday, I ran about 1.55 miles on the treadmill at the gym. I am still at the 5mph or 12min mile pace. But I feel like my legs would collapse if I run any faster. I hope to increase it in the future, possibly after my first 5k. In my class that day, we actually gave out free hugs!! It was great! It is amazing how powerful a hug can be. Later that night I worked at my schools basketball game against Central Connecticut State University. We won by like 30 points, which was awesome. Here is a little video from that game. One of our guys made an awesome block which got the crowd riled up. I hope that the quality is good, it was taken from my iPhone so it may be good or bad.

Yesterday, Thursday, was one of the greatest days I have had in a long time. First, I got up from bed and ran about 1.55 miles (same as Wednesday). I am probably going to do 2 miles next week and build up to the 5k. But that was not the highlight of my day.

After coming back from the gym, I was getting ready for class. I was checking my Facebook new feed. And one of the companies that I follow (it is a sport memorabilia company) was running a contest. The company was having the New York Giants players come over to their office to sign helmets, footballs, jerseys, etc. The contest was to guess the first Giants player that was in their office that morning. Whoever made the right guess won a prize. So I made a guess and I WON!! So I got a Facebook message saying to call the company to claim the prize. I called them and they asked me to come down to their offices and MEET SOME OF THE PLAYERS!! I was so excited!!

I went to class and I couldn't concentrate at all. I actually left my class early because I of this (my professor was OK with this). I drove to the offices in NY (about 1 hour drive). I went in and was introduced to the CEO of the company along with other important people. One of the employees there took me to the room where they were signing the stuff. It was incredible! There were aisles and aisles of helmets, jerseys, etc. I met 5 players from the team including David Baas, Jake Ballard, Dave Tollefson, Linval Joesph, and Michael Boley. I got pictures with them!

After taking pictures I was given a tour of the warehouse where they keep all of the memorabilia. They are so many aisles of stuff and the warehouse was HUGE!! I was able to take a few pictures as well. I also got a tour of the actual offices which have autograph stuff all over the place as well.
DEREK JETER!! I wanted this so bad! One day I
will be able to get it.
I found this in the warehouse. I am a big
Yankees fan as well
After doing all of that, I finished the tour and went back to school. It was a great day and something that I will never forget.

Anyways, back to training. Today is my "rest" day. I plan to do something before I go to bed (this morning was very crazy and I also slept in today. I really needed it). We are getting a snow storm tomorrow but I still want to go on the treadmill and run for a little bit.

Sorry about the long post but I had to share my excitement. Thanks for reading!!
