My legs are so sore!!

I WENT RUNNING TODAY!! I woke up this morning and went to class. I felt pretty good so I decided to go for a run on the treadmill with my suite-mate. I did something a little bit different than my plan. Since I still wasn't fully healthy yet (I am still a little sick), I did some walking/running intervals. I walked for 1 minute and then ran for 2 minutes. I did this for about 21mins and ended up running/walking about 1.65 miles.


I felt tired but pretty good after. I did some stretching after for like about 5 minutes to cool down. I also finished by recovering with some Greek yogurt and orange juice. Before the run, I ate a mini cliff bar to just give me some energy. 

I also did some ice skating today. My school offers an open skate at our hockey arena for an hour. So my legs are extra sore from that as well. 

I plan on going back to the gym tomorrow morning. I may do some cross training (bike, rowing, or possibly some weights) with some running depending on how my legs feel. But I think I had a good start to my training and I am really looking forward to becoming a runner.
